🤍The Storm Didn’t Take Your Roots.🤍
Jeremiah 17:8 ~
“They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green.”
Farm life will teach you something about weather.
You can have everything looking just right one afternoon… and wake up the next morning to limbs scattered across the pasture, fences leaning, crops beaten down, and mud where yesterday there was dry ground.
A storm can change what something looks like without changing what it is.
And somebody needs that reminder today.
You may look a little weathered.
You’ve walked through some things that bent you. Some seasons stripped away what you thought would always be there. Some winds hit harder than you expected. And there may have been moments when you wondered,
“Lord… is there anything left of me?”
Oh, friend.
Look beneath the surface! 🙌🏼
The storm shook your branches, but it didn’t take your roots!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
When your life is rooted in Jesus, your strength isn’t determined by what’s happening above ground.
The enemy loves to point at the broken branches.
God points to the roots.
The enemy says, “Look what you lost.”
God says, “Look what survived.”
You’re still praying…
Still believing…
Still getting back up…
Still reaching toward Heaven…
Still planted…
And those roots have been growing deeper in places nobody could see.
Maybe you don’t look like the person who entered this season.
Good.
You weren’t supposed to.
Because sometimes God uses the very storm you thought would destroy you to drive your roots deeper into Him! 🙌🏼
So straighten that fence…
Pick up those branches…
Wipe the mud from your boots…
And keep growing…
Because weathered does NOT mean withered! 🙌🏼
Jesus, thank You for holding me through every storm I have faced. When I’m tempted to focus on what has been broken or lost, remind me of what You have strengthened beneath the surface. Root me so deeply in You that no wind, disappointment, delay, or attack can pull me away. Let new growth come from places I thought were finished. In Jesus’ name, Amen! 🤍
💚Reflection💚
What storm have you been measuring by what it took from you instead of noticing what God grew inside you through it?
🧺Bread Basket🧺
Don’t mistake broken branches for dead roots.
There is still LIFE underneath that soil! 🙌🏼
And if God kept the root…
friend, He can grow the whole thing again.
