Cooking vs Harvesting

I’ve realized that cooking has been such a task lately and most of the plates I eat… are quick grab and go veggies or marinated veggies.. honestly. I might not be too fond of olives but I ate a few with my plates and now I’m obsessed. Imagine having kids and a husband and not being able to eat these things half naked watching reruns on the couch. 😂

2025/12/17 Edited to

... Read moreMany people today find traditional cooking time-consuming, especially when juggling family responsibilities. Adopting quick and simple meal options like grab-and-go or marinated vegetables can be a practical solution. These meals not only save time but also help maintain a healthy diet without compromising flavor. For instance, incorporating a few olives into your plates adds a burst of rich taste and healthy fats, making the meal more enjoyable and nutritious. When life gets busy with kids and household duties, preparing elaborate dishes can feel overwhelming. Instead, focusing on harvesting fresh veggies or buying pre-prepped ones can streamline your meal prep. Marinating vegetables ahead of time or enjoying simple veggie plates can make meals more convenient and appealing. This approach also encourages mindfulness in eating habits, as quick vegetable meals are easy to customize and experiment with different flavors and textures. You can mix marinated produce, raw veggies, and even add nuts or seeds to enhance nutritional value. Over time, these small changes may lead to a newfound appreciation for fresh produce and healthier eating patterns, even in casual settings like relaxing on the couch. Ultimately, balancing cooking and harvesting strategies allows for a more sustainable and enjoyable way to nourish yourself and your family, making it possible to delight in quality meals despite a hectic lifestyle.

🍉 Here are a few signs to look for when harvesting a Sugar Baby watermelon
🍉 1. The tendril closest to the watermelon turns brown and dries up. • This is one of the best indicators of ripeness. • If it’s still green, the melon usually needs more time. 🍉 2. Check the ground spot. • The spot resting on the ground should change from white to a creamy yellow color. 🍉
