BHA 101: The Beginner’s Guide to Clearer Pores 💧
🖤 BHA stands for Beta Hydroxy Acid, and the most common BHA you’ll find in skincare is salicylic acid.
Unlike AHAs, BHAs are oil-soluble, which means they can travel through the oil in your pores to help dissolve excess sebum and loosen dead skin cells from the inside out.
✨ BHA may help with:
• Blackheads
• Sebaceous filaments
• Oily skin
• Enlarged-looking pores
• Acne and clogged pores
• Smoother skin texture
One of the biggest things I’ve learned on my skincare journey is that understanding why an ingredient works is just as important as knowing how to use it. Skincare doesn’t have to be complicated, it just takes a little education and consistency.

🛍️ Today is the LAST day of Amazon Prime Day! If you’re looking for salicylic acid recommendations, visit my Amazon Storefront under “All About Skincare: Decode Salicylic Acid” to browse some of my favorite products.
Have you tried a BHA before? I’d love to hear what’s worked for you! ✨
