JANUARY UPDATE! Just wanted to update that i have so far accomplished 2 of my bingoals! I have been working out more consistently but i have gone a few days inbetween so i felt as if that didn’t count for the 30 day routine. I am so happy to have been able to put $1000 into my savings account! I am excited for what else 2025 is going to bring! #2025goals#savingmoney#lifehacks#2025bingo#selfcare

I stumbled upon the idea of "bingoals" last year, and it totally changed how I approach my personal growth. Instead of a daunting list of tasks, it transformed into a visual, achievable challenge. If you're wondering how to make your own 2025 bingo card, or just looking for some fresh motivation, here’s how I got started and what I’ve learned along the way!
First, think about different areas of your life you want to improve. I usually break mine down into categories like financial, health & fitness, personal development, home, and relationships. For instance, on my current card, I have financial goals like "Save $1000" (which I just hit, yay!), "Save $3000," and even a stretch goal of "Save $5000." Having these specific numbers makes it so much clearer than just 'save more money.'
Then, brainstorm specific, measurable actions for each category. Don't just put 'get fit,' try 'Be consistent 30 day fitness challenge' or 'Lose 10lbs.' These are tangible goals you can easily track. Other ideas from my own card include practical things like 'Meal prep weekly,' 'Stick to a nightly routine,' or fun endeavors like 'Practice bread scoring' and 'Improve makeup skills.' It’s about making them exciting and something you genuinely want to achieve. For personal growth, I even added 'Redo wardrobe' to refresh my style and 'Pay off Kohls credit card' to tackle debt.
Once you have your list, arrange them onto a bingo-style grid. You can use a 5x5 grid, a 4x4, whatever feels right for the number of goals you have. A "free space" in the middle can be a great motivator for an easy win!
Now, the real challenge – and fun – begins: sticking to them! Here are my top tips for crushing your "bingoals":
Break it Down: Big goals, like "Save $5000," can feel overwhelming. Break them into smaller, monthly targets. For example, saving $417 a month gets you there.
Track Your Progress Visually: This is where the bingo card shines! I literally tick off or color in each square as I complete it. Seeing those squares fill up is incredibly satisfying.
Celebrate Small Wins: Each square you complete is a victory. When I saved that first $1000, I treated myself to a small, non-budget-breaking reward. It keeps the momentum going. Even something like successfully doing a 'push-up challenge' for a week can be a reason to celebrate.
Be Flexible: Life happens. Maybe you miss a week of your '30 day fitness challenge.' Don't abandon the whole card! Just get back on track. My goal for 'Be consistent 30 day fitness' wasn't a perfect 30 days straight this month, but I'm still working out more consistently than before, and that's progress!
Find Accountability: Share your bingo card with a friend or a community (like here on Lemon8!). Knowing someone else knows about your goal to 'Plan a date night once a month' or 'Potty train Nova' can be a huge motivator. It's also fun to see how others are doing with their own goals.
My 2025 bingo card is still a work in progress, but seeing those first few squares filled, like saving $1000 and starting to 'Stick to a workout routine for 3 months,' makes me so excited for the rest of the year. I’m already looking forward to making progress on 'Create a recipe' and maybe even 'Get a tattoo' if I hit a big milestone! What "bingoals" are you planning for?
