and the one who caused it.

The one who said too much,

and the one who shut down completely.

I’ve been the girl who pushed people away,

because I didn’t know how to let them love me.

The one who lashed out first

just to feel in control.

The one who smiled while spiraling,

because silence felt safer than explaining.

And through it all…

God stayed.

He stayed through the mess,

the moods,

the mind games I played with myself.

He saw the ugliest sides of me

and still whispered,

“You’re still mine.”
