If you're like me, your Escape From Tarkov stash probably looks like a digital hoarder's paradise – or often, a digital nightmare! Limited inventory space is one of the game's biggest challenges, forcing us to constantly juggle gear, quest items, and valuable loot. After countless raids and many frustrating moments staring at a full inventory, I've picked up some essential stash management strategies that I'm excited to share to help you bring some order to the chaos. The first step to sanity is investing in containers. These are your absolute best friends for reclaiming space. Item Cases, Weapon Cases, Magazine Cases, and especially Lucky Scav Junkboxes are crucial. As soon as you can afford them, prioritize getting a few. My personal strategy is to dedicate each type of container to specific items: one for medical supplies, another for ammo, one for attachments, and junkboxes for all the miscellaneous 'trade-in' items. This categorization makes finding what I need incredibly fast and keeps my main stash area clear. Another game-changing tip for maximizing space is stacking. Rigs and backpacks can be stacked inside each other! Always buy or find the largest backpack you can, then fill it with smaller rigs and backpacks. This is incredibly efficient, turning a single slot into many more. Remember to empty everything before stacking to avoid losing items. It sounds simple, but it's a fundamental part of keeping your inventory lean. Now, let's talk about the Hideout, which is often overlooked in pure stash organization discussions. You know that you need level 3 and 2 stuff in your hideout too? Yes, upgrading your Hideout modules, like the Lavatory or Workbench, not only unlocks crafting but also often increases your stash size or provides useful storage containers. For instance, crafting can turn those piles of less valuable components into more valuable items or even quest items, effectively 'processing' your stash overflow. Learning what to craft and what to sell is a key skill for long-term inventory health. Beyond containers and the hideout, a strict 'one in, one out' policy can work wonders. If you pick up a new weapon, consider if you need to sell an older one. Only keep what you realistically plan to use in the next few raids. Hoarding too many similar weapons or armor sets just clogs up your space. Sell what you don't immediately need, even if it's for a lower price – cash is more flexible than a full stash. Finally, don't underestimate the power of quick keybinds for inventory management. While specific keys like F9, F10, F11, F12, PRTSCN, SCRLK, Ins, HOME, PCUP, LED, BRCK SPACE, J LED 1 might be related to specific system or custom controls, the general principle is to customize your controls for swift item inspection, discarding, and transferring. Being able to quickly move items around, discard junk, or transfer loot to cases can shave precious minutes off your post-raid routine, making the whole experience much smoother.
