Big Macs at Home

We got McDonald’s at home yall

Ingredients:

- 1 lb ground beef

- Salt and pepper to taste

- 1/2 cup finely diced onion

- 1/2 cup finely chopped iceberg lettuce

- 1/4 cup dill pickle slices

- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

- 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing

- Sesame seed buns

- American cheese slices

- Sesame seed buns

Special Sauce:

- 1/2 cup mayonnaise

- 2 tbsp French dressing

- 4 tsp sweet pickle relish

- 1 tbsp finely minced white onion

- 1 tsp white vinegar

- 1 tsp sugar

- 1/8 tsp salt

Instructions:

1. To make the special sauce, combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to let the flavors meld.

2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, breaking it up with a spatula as it cooks. Season with salt and pepper. Add the diced onions and continue cooking until the beef is browned and the onions are softened.

3. Cut the sesame seed buns in half and toast them until golden brown.

4. Assemble the Big Macs by spreading the special sauce on the bottom bun. Top with shredded lettuce, a slice of American cheese, the cooked beef and onion mixture, a layer of pickles, and another slice of American cheese.

5. Spread Thousand Island dressing on the top bun and place it on top of the assembled burger.

6. Serve the Big Macs with a side of fries or a salad.
