since giving my life to Jesus

6 years ago March 10th, I gave my life to Jesus.

from that day, I have endured pain, anger, selfishness, temptation, depression, anxiety, fear, disappointment, dishonor, doubt, sadness, distrust, loss, and even some feelings that I can’t grasp enough words to describe. BUT since being through it all, & then fully committing my life to Him just this past year, I have witnessed and felt trustworthiness, hope, joy, self-control, kindness, patience, peace, faithfulness, gentleness, forgiveness AND love through Jesus and Gods grace. i’ve experienced Gods goodness so much so that the bad will never outweigh it like how I thought it used to. when I rededicated my life the end of last year, little did I know what was to come.

I have learned so much through my walk with Christ but let me go ahead and preface this by saying, I am not perfect, we were not called to be perfect. I have fallen more times than I can count but I continue to press forward and strive for obedience, forgiveness, a love like Jesus, and faith like Paul. I am blessed to be where I am and to have what I have. I used to believe when life is shining with the goodness of God, there is no reason to share the ugly, the trials BUT i’ve learned that, that is the ONE reason to do just that and what He has done for me in my life since then. so here is a never ending list of the lessons i’ve learned through experience in hopes it’ll help you grasp a little bit of my testimony

For instance, I learned that growth often comes from adversity, and acknowledging our shortcomings is essential in our walk of faith. God’s grace provides a transformative power that allows us to overcome feelings of fear, doubt, and sadness. Additionally, I realized that forgiveness is not just about letting go but also about moving forward without bringing toxic relationships back into our lives. The journey isn't about achieving perfection but about striving for obedience and love like Jesus demonstrated. It's important to remember that even during our darkest moments, God's goodness shines through. The trials I faced taught me that sharing my struggles can offer hope and encouragement to others walking similar paths. Trusting in God’s plan is vital; despite setbacks, His purpose prevails. By waiting patiently, like Esther did, we embrace faith's true essence, which is often rooted in the belief that God is always working behind the scenes for our benefit. Ultimately, it's these experiences from my journey that shaped my testimony, reminding us all that we serve a faithful God, who is always at work in our lives.
