What I Ate At Camden Market - London, UK

🇬🇧 The food markets in London, UK are unmatched! Camden Market was one of the first places I went to after I landed in London and it was love at first site! This amazing market has over 1,000 shops, food vendors and more. Plus, it has great vibes! We tried so many things at this market and ended up going back a second time during our week trip, however, these were some of our favorite bites in this amazing market!

🍗 Bunboy Fried Chicken and Chips: We ordered this spicy Korean fried chicken and chips (French fries for those of us in the USA) and it was so delicious! The sauce on the chicken was the perfect amount of sweet and spicy! The chips were nice and crispy and they soaked up the extra sauce perfectly! The portion here was HUGE and this could easily be split between two people! 5/5

🍫 Sweet Now Nutella with Banana and Strawberries Crepe – Sweet Now was quite a site to see! The window in front of this restaurant showcases all of the delicious crepes and mini pancakes that the sell and it’s a dessert lovers paradise! We tried the Nutella with banana and strawberries crepe and OMG this was soooo good! The Nutella paired perfect with the sweet, fresh berries. The crepe was made to order, so it was hot and pillowy. Such an amazing dessert and they have so many options to choose from! Check them out! 5/5

🍦 Hans and Gretel Double Scoop Cone – Hans and Gretel is the cutest candy and ice cream shop! This shop is a kid’s dream! We got the double scoop ice cream in their signature hand coated chocolate cone! We got vanilla ice cream and chocolate ice cream and topped it with chocolate and caramel sauce. This cone is a showstopper – literally! We were stopped so many times in this market and asked where to get this! The ice cream was good but the whole experience made it even better! 4/5

The overall vibe of Camden market is busy, busy, busy! There were SO many people here and so much going on! It was really exciting and such a great first place to go! I would recommend this to anyone visiting London. Additionally, a few food vendors in this market have gone viral recently so make sure to check them out as well!

... Read moreStepping into Camden Market in London feels like entering a vibrant, eclectic universe, and for a food lover like me, it's pure magic! Beyond the delicious bites I shared, there's so much more to experience and discover that makes this market a true London highlight. If you're planning a visit, let me tell you more about how to make the most of your culinary adventure and what other treats you absolutely shouldn't skip. First off, let's talk about those incredible finds. That Korean fried chicken and chips from Bunboy? Seriously unforgettable! The generous portion, priced around $10.37, was a perfect blend of sweet and spicy, and the crispy chips soaking up the sauce was just divine. It’s definitely a strong contender for the ‘best food in Camden Market’ title. Then there was the Nutella crepe from Sweet Now – made to order, hot, and pillowy with fresh bananas and strawberries, a steal at about $9.76. And don't even get me started on the Hans and Gretel double-scoop ice cream cone. While the ice cream itself was good, the sheer theatricality of the signature hand-coated cone, priced at $8.95, made it an experience everyone stops to admire. These aren't just meals; they're memories! But Camden Market is vast, with over 1,000 vendors, so what else should you keep an eye out for? Many visitors search for specific treats like 'Dutch pancakes Camden Market' or 'churros Camden Market,' and I can confirm they are definitely there! While I didn't get to try them all myself (there's always next time!), I saw numerous stalls serving up miniature Dutch pancakes with various toppings, and fresh, crispy churros dusted with sugar or drizzled with chocolate. They looked absolutely tempting and are certainly popular choices for a sweet snack. Beyond these specific cravings, you'll find an incredible array of international street food – from authentic Italian pasta to succulent burgers, vegan delights, and exotic Asian dishes. It's a true melting pot of global flavors, making it easy to find 'what to eat at Camden Market' no matter your preference. Beyond the food, the market itself is an attraction, answering many of the 'things to do in Camden' queries. The bustling atmosphere, with its unique brick architecture and the iconic ceiling adorned with colorful hanging umbrellas, creates an unforgettable backdrop. You can spend hours wandering through vintage clothing stalls, artisan craft shops, and quirky boutiques. I also noticed some of the 'viral vendors' the original post mentioned, drawing long lines for their unique offerings, so keep an eye out for those trending spots! The vibrant energy and diverse crowd make it a fantastic place to soak up London's alternative culture. To make your visit even smoother, here are a few tips: Camden Market can get incredibly busy, especially on weekends. If you prefer a slightly calmer experience, try to visit on a weekday morning. Wear comfortable shoes, as you'll be doing a lot of walking. And definitely arrive hungry, because you’ll want to sample as much as possible! Bring cash or be prepared to use card payments, as most vendors are well-equipped. It's more than just a market; it's an immersive cultural and culinary adventure that I highly recommend to anyone visiting London.
