Our morning routine before we go on our walk. #puppy
Starting the day with a structured morning routine is an excellent way to bond with your puppy and set positive energy for the rest of the day. Personally, I find that incorporating a few simple steps before heading out helps both me and my puppy feel ready and excited for our daily walk. First, ensuring that your puppy has had a chance to hydrate and maybe a small snack can energize them but avoid overfeeding to prevent any discomfort during the walk. I also recommend spending a few minutes on light play or gentle training exercises; this mentally prepares your puppy and reinforces positive behaviors. Organizing your walking gear ahead of time—such as leash, waste bags, and water bottle—helps avoid last-minute scrambles, which can stress both owner and pet. Dressing appropriately for the weather and using reflective gear if walking in low light conditions not only ensures comfort but also safety. During the walk, it's essential to pay attention to your puppy's body language and pace. Allowing short breaks for sniffing or exploring can make the experience more enjoyable and less stressful, promoting good behavior and curiosity. Overall, a mindful morning routine centered around your puppy’s needs enhances the quality of your walks and deepens your companionship. This approach has made my walks not only a daily exercise but also a cherished time of connection and joy.
