LET'S TALK SELF CARE🫧🍵🧚‍♀️

Self care is something I have carefully implemented throughout this year and have really prioritized. This doesn't always mean face masks and bubble baths (although some of that does go a long way for me!)

There are so many forms of self care. Here are some of my favorites (come back to see part 2!)

-Night Time Tea!🍯☕️

I buy Bedtime Chamomile tea to drink before bed and it's something I look forward to to help me wind down before bed. Sometimes I'll put some honey and a lemon wedge in it as well🍯☕️🍋

-Monthly Facials🧖🏼‍♀️

I have been super into hydrafacials lately with how dry my skin is and how clogged my pores feel from fake tan😖 I try to switch it up every now and then, sometimes I'll just do a regular 60 min facial with dermaplaning to relax and get all those dead skin cells off(;

-Taking myself on little "dates"

This can be anything! Sometimes it's to the book store, other days it's buying groceries at my favorite market. What makes it fun is I get to choose where to go, what to eat, how long I want to take, and what to do. It really is helpful to become your own best friend and spend some good time learning to be comfortable by yourself every now and then.

-DRIVES !

Driving around listening to music HEALS the soul. Especially at night. Times where I feel like I need to clear my head or take some time alone this has been so helpful. I make playlists as a form of self care also and those are really fun to have for any mood I could be in! From Hannah Montana to Bon Iver... we have it all😂🎧

-Drink Runs!🍵

I do this LITERALLY every single day so I can give back to myself a small dose of time each day so my cup is filled enough to give what I need to give to the people in my life, at work, in my relationships, my marriage, my friendships and my family life! When I go on drink runs I will almost always throw on a podcast or a book to set the tone for a great day.

-Low Impact Movement🧘🏼‍♀️

Yoga / Pilates has CHANGED ME. I was doing Orange Theory for 3 years and it was stressing me the heck out!! It took so much of my energy and I dreaded working out everyday because I knew I'd probably be sore for 3 days and I was completely tanked afterwards so I felt like I didn't have enough energy to do what I needed to do! This is where I found my ~ZEN~ and have fallen in love with low impact movement. Even just going on walks has made the difference for me in how my body feels.

-HGW with my pup!🐶🐾

I struggle with seasonal depression and one thing that's hard in the winters is being motivated to go outside. Something that has kept me from spiraling has been walking my puppy Jett everyday! This gets me out of the house and I know he won't be happy the rest of the day if we don't go on a walk😂

-Reading/Spending time in a coffee shop📖☕️

For some reason this gives me such main character vibes and makes me feel euphoric. It's therapy to me, I can't explain it! It's a little escape every once in a while. A little chance for me to just blend in for a while and not be noticed at all for any reason. No social pressures, no worries about what I look like... I can just simply exist differently in this environment! Not sure why but if you know, YOU KNOW!
