My all time Favorites!
Each of these books and podcasts are helping me in my walk with Christ. Some ive had for years and others, like the podcast, I recently found after giving my life to Christ.
- Single. Dating. Engaged. Married : This book ive had for years even during the time i fell away from my faith and was non-religious. This is just a great book overall on navigating dating and relationships in the modern world. Gods purpose for each season of your life and how to prepare for the next.
- Perfectly Yourself: This is a personal development book by a christian author. I got it years ago from the Catholic chrurch i used to go to. It dives into how to become the best verson of yourself, and how to mature into who God made you to be.
- The Cure : This book completely changed my perspective on religion and just God in general. This book is ultimately what ended up bringing back to my faith after i was on the fence for a few weeks. Goes into how deep Gods love is for us and how important it is to have a relationship with Jesus without all the external pressure religion may put on you.
- Devoted to Jesus : I LOVED the movie ‘The Forge’ so when i was walking around Barnes and Nobles on my birthday i felt called towards the religion section, which ive never done before, and i found this book by the makers of the Forge and just had to have it. This book has not disappointed, and goes into EVERYTHING. From learning about Jesus and his sacrifice for us, making the decision to follow him as a disciple, how to work through everything that can get in our ways as Christians, all the way down to how to be a reflection of Gods love. A MUST READ!
- Saved Not Soft : I came across her podcast on Tiktok and i remeber seeing a clip she posted of her most recent episode at the time and just being in awe like “dang… that was a WORD”. She is not afraid to call anyone out, and understands that walking with Jesus is not an easy path. Its hard and she provides guidance along with personal experience of how she overcame the tolics she talks about. The first christian podcast i found that i loved enough to binge.
- Christ With Coffee on Ice : I foung this one super recently, like probably within the last month and I LOVE IT. Ally is so sweet and she speaks so beautifully. Shes not afraid of touching on sensitive topics that most of struggle with, like lust, and is like a big sister to her listeners. She brings a female perspective to what it means to live a life rooted in Christ. She even recently started doing communions at the beginning of her episodes and it lights such a fire in me for Jesus that i take communion before reading my bible on a pretty consistent basis now.
