After Months I finally finish planning my book!

With Everything in life seemingly going wrong, it’s been really hard to focus on writing, I don’t get home until 3:00 in the morning and then have to get up at 3:00 in the afternoon to go to work, the rest of my time is spent sleeping. Not only that finding a community of writers and readers to keep me motivated and become friends with has been ridiculously difficult. Over all I’d really appreciate the support and encouragement! And maybe some advice on how to help.

Any tips?

... Read moreBalancing writing with a full-time job and overwhelming life demands can make finishing a book feel almost impossible. From my personal experience, the biggest hurdle was managing my limited energy and finding time to focus between 3 AM and 3 PM sleep cycles. The key was breaking down the planning process into small, manageable chunks instead of trying to tackle everything at once. One technique that helped was setting realistic daily writing goals—even just 10-15 minutes dedicated solely to writing or planning. Although it might seem minor, those consistent pockets of time quickly add up. Also, leveraging early mornings or late evenings, when possible, allowed me to create a routine that fit around work. Another crucial factor was seeking out communities like #writersoftiktok and #authorsoflemon8 that offer support and motivation. Finding fellow writers who understood what balancing full-time jobs and creative projects looked like gave me not only advice but a sense of camaraderie. Engaging with readers through hashtags like #readersoftiktok boosted my confidence and helped me stay committed. If you’re struggling like I did, try to embrace imperfection and prioritize progress over perfection. Share your journey openly online; the encouragement you’ll receive can be a tremendous boost. Also, consider using writing apps or planners specifically designed for authors which help track progress effectively. In the end, finishing a book while juggling life’s responsibilities isn’t easy, but with patience, small daily efforts, and a supportive community, it’s absolutely achievable.
