Last year I was in a place in my life where I didn’t want to be here anymore. My mind was made up. I even had it all planned out 💔 It was the first time I’d ever found myself in that low of a place in my life. It’s DEEP & it’s DARK and it’s incredibly scary because you feel like you’ve lost complete control. The enemy had me right where he wanted me. 😔
But….God came and met me in that place, He took my hand, and somehow helped me walk through each day, with a new calm - even while I was still in TOTAL darkness. And as I continued to walk with Him, my days got less and less dark. It’s because of Him that I’M STILL HERE. 🙏🏼
AND… because I used the gym as my daily therapy at that time too, Ive finally made it to the other side with an even stronger body and mind than I had before. 💪🏼🥹
God & the gym literally SAVED. MY. LIFE. And that strength (both in the gym & in my walk with Christ) is part of my testimony now.🙏🏼 It’s my purpose. What you see on the outside is a reflection of the work God’s done on the inside. And I feel called to let the world know what He’s done for me. 🥹
I’ll never stop showing up for myself so that I can show others what’s possible when you give it all to Him. 🥹🙏🏼✝️ Discipline is not just a fitness trait. It’s a spiritual weapon. ⚔️ It’s obedience. ✝️ The enemy hates it!!!
So keep showing off the strong body God gave you! The one that’s carried you through hell and back. 🔥 Keep showing off the body you honor enough to take care of. 🫶🏼
Someone out there NEEDS you to share your story of overcoming. Just make sure you give Him all the praise. 🙌🏼
“Let the world see your strength - but let them always see the Spirit behind it too🕊️”
If this resonates or if you have a respectful opinion on it love to hear your thoughts! 🫶🏼🩷
... Read moreThe intersection of faith and fitness is a powerful journey for many who seek purpose and strength beyond the physical. This story highlights not only the emotional and mental battles faced during dark times but also the transformative impact of combining spiritual growth with physical discipline. The gym becomes more than a place for building muscle—it's a sanctuary for healing and therapy.
Spiritual discipline, as emphasized, acts as a weapon against adversity. The Scripture reference from 1 Timothy 4:8 underscores the lasting value of godliness alongside physical training, reminding believers that nurture of the spirit surpasses the benefits of physical exercise alone. This holistic approach empowers individuals to honor their bodies as temples while drawing strength and resilience from their faith.
Moreover, the testimony encourages women to embrace their strength boldly and to showcase the victory God has worked within them. It dismantles the misconception that caring for one's body contradicts spiritual humility. Instead, it advocates for a balance where physical health and spiritual well-being enhance one another, fostering confidence and a deeper connection to God's purpose.
Sharing personal stories of overcoming trials through faith can inspire others who feel trapped in darkness or struggling with mental battles. The message to keep shining one's light and to give praise to God invites a community of support and encouragement. This narrative also reflects the importance of discipline—not only in physical routines but as obedience and spiritual warfare—showing how maintaining consistent faith practices contributes to lasting transformation.
Ultimately, this testimony serves as a beacon for those navigating the tension between the worldly emphasis on wellness and the divine call to godliness. It urges believers not to shrink but to shine, highlighting that true strength stems from the spirit, with the body as a testament to God's ongoing work. By nurturing both body and spirit, one embodies a powerful witness to the healing and sustaining power of faith.
