You don’t have to be a pastor to be used by God.
It doesn’t take being a pastor in order to lead people to Christ. All it takes is being open and willing to be used by God. || “And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. (Acts 2:47) #jesussaves #testify #sharethegospel #discipleship #dailydevotional
Reflecting on my own experience, I’ve realized that serving God doesn’t require a formal title or position. The key is simply a heart open to being used as a vessel for His purpose. In everyday life, I’ve found that sharing my personal testimony, no matter how ordinary, can spark curiosity and plant seeds in others’ hearts. Sometimes, it’s not about a grand sermon but a simple conversation that leads someone closer to Christ. I also appreciate how Acts 2:47 emphasizes that new believers were added daily, not just during church services. This reminds me that God works through ordinary moments—whether it’s a chat at work, a social media post, or an encouraging word to a friend. We don’t have to be pastors or preachers; we just need to be willing to share what God has done in our lives. Often, I’ve encountered situations where I felt inadequate or unqualified to witness, but I’ve learned that God is the one who adds to the number, not us. Our role is just to be faithful in speaking up when the opportunity arises. Even if the person doesn’t respond immediately, our words can plant seeds for future growth. This approach fosters a lifestyle of discipleship—being ready daily to testify, gently share the gospel, and encourage others in their spiritual journey. It’s empowering to think that each of us, regardless of status or role, can contribute to expanding God’s kingdom just by being open and obedient. In short, the call to share faith is for every believer. It’s about living a life that reflects Christ’s love and being ready to share that love whenever possible. If you feel hesitant, start small. Your willingness to be used by God can make a bigger impact than you might realize.
