the secret to making this higher protein and lower calorie… blending cottage cheese with cheddar/parmesan to make the cheese sauce, and using protein-enriched pasta! I like Barilla, Goodles, or Banza noodles for this.

impossible burger with fries🍔🍟

if you eat meat, feel free to substitute a regular burger patty here! I’m vegetarian so I love Impossible burgers. making fries in the air fryer significantly reduces the calories but still gets them so crispy!! I love the Trader Joe’s frozen, pre-cut fries since they’re already seasoned and lightly oiled. they’re easy to measure and track too!

thanksgiving dinner 🍲

this one is a classic— mashed potatoes, dinner rolls, and salad. who says you can’t have Thanksgiving foods year-found? if you’re not plant-based, you could totally go all the way here and add turkey! this dinner isn’t super high in protein, but sometimes I love having comfort food like this. there are no rules saying you need to get an equal amount of protein in each meal. sometimes I prefer to enjoy a meal with mostly carbs/fats and get my protein in throughout the rest of the day.
