I went to "European-style restaurant Monte" in Takasone, Kochi City.
It is a European-style restaurant that has been loved in Kochi for about 40 years since 1986.
When you enter the store, you will see the rudder of a large ship on the wooden wall.
It feels nostalgic and feels like I've known it for a long time even though it's my first time here.
This time, I had "Katsu Curry" which has been loved for a long time.
Curry sauce finished with flavored vegetables without using roux and cutlet of domestic pork.

欧風料理モンテのカツカレーは、一般的なカレー粉に頼らず、香味野菜をじっくり煮込んで作られたカレーソースが特徴です。私も高知出身で、何度かこの店を訪れましたが、その奥深い味わいにいつも感動します。野菜の甘みと旨味がしっかり染み込んだソースは、スパイスの刺激が強すぎず、誰でも食べやすい優しい味わい。そこにサクサクの国産ポークカツが加わることで、食感と旨味が絶妙なバランスに仕上がっています。 また、店内の木壁に掛けられた大きな船の舵は、高知の港町らしい趣を感じさせ、初めて訪れてもどこか懐かしさを覚えます。店の歴史を感じながら味わうカツカレーは、まさに地元に根づいた味。過去には帯屋町のアーケード街で営業していた時代もあり、街並みが変わる中で変わらず愛され続けているのも納得です。 食事後には、隣のテーブルから聞こえてくる「あの味は変わらんなあ」という声を耳にし、味に対する信頼感が高いのを実感しました。私もまた高知を訪れる時は必ず寄りたい一軒ですし、カツカレー好きの方にはぜひ試してほしいメニューです。駐車場も第二まで完備されているので、車でのアクセスも便利。高知観光やランチに訪れる際は、ぜひ欧風料理モンテで伝統の味を楽しんでみてください。
