they be in their own world lol, you do you boo
It's important to recognize that some people truly live in their own world, and no matter how much you try to explain your perspective or feelings, it might just not stick with them. From personal experience, I've noticed that trying to force understanding often leads to frustration and unnecessary stress on both sides. Especially in adult life, you encounter many situations where discussions don't flow as you'd expect—people might shut down or seem uninterested when certain topics come up. I've found it's best to accept these moments and not insist on making others see your point. Minimizing conversations that aren’t productive helps preserve your energy and mental space. Moreover, learning to let people be who they are without trying to control their reactions can dramatically improve your relationships and your peace of mind. Instead of stressing about whether someone 'gets it' or not, focusing on your own path and well-being is often the healthiest choice. So, when you find yourself dealing with people who just don’t understand, remember: you can’t control their mindset, but you can control how you respond and how much mental space you give to those interactions.
