Visualise My Financial Planning Strategy
Previously, I shared a series of data visualizations on family and personal finance. Linking these charts together forms the simple and easy-to-follow financial planning strategy for ordinary people that I endorse.
Facing the topic of money head-on was a self-reflection I undertook five years ago regarding my own “money coma and money aversion,” and I made learning about investing and personal finance my New Year’s Resolution that year.
From being a complete novice who delayed credit card payments and couldn’t even be bothered to set up fixed deposits, to building a basic knowledge system of investing and finance, and then to setting financial goals and establishing an investment and financial management system that I put into practice one by one. Wealth growth and personal finance have never been a straight path; it’s more like an ongoing dialogue with life. Over the past five years, I have gradually built my own financial system amid the ups and downs of reality:
🎯 Investment portfolio goals → 📈 Investment net worth tracking → ⛑️ Financial risk control → 🛒 Expense budgeting → 💳 Monthly cash flow planning → 🔥 Financial freedom
This system not only carries my plans for the future but also responds to the various challenges and uncertainties in life. Perhaps my choices are not perfect, but the ongoing process of recording, reflecting, and adjusting is itself my understanding of money and wealth, my passionate experience of life and expectations for the future.
This is an honest record of my investment and financial management experience, and I also hope it serves as a valuable sandwich generation financial planning guide for others to learn from.
