🫗Make sure your food stays fresh, by only shopping for 3 to 4 days at a time.
🥡 Know your habits. Realistically, how many days do you eat on your leftovers? Tempted by DoorDash/invited out to eat.
🥑 Focus on whole/bulk ingredients. Fresh fruit, nuts, and cheese make for wonderful fill snacks. They can also eat combined for lunches and dinners into salads.
🎨 Get creative in the kitchen! Repurpose your leftovers into fun new dishes. Pan fry leftover rice. turn leftover potatoes into crispy potato pancakes. Stuff your dinner leftovers into an omelette.
🦐 Buy meat and seafood locally. Not only are you supporting small farmers, the meat is often of superior quality and freshness for a fraction of the price that is often found in big box, grocery stores. I have found this to be the case with produce as well, but I know that produce can be Highly variable as the seasons flow.
