The Christmas Coconut is a family tradition going back to our roots in Appalachia. Coconut was a rare treat back in the day, an exotic and practical gift placed under the tree. Of course my grandpa told us kids that the Coconut would steal our souls if anyone tried to sneak a peek at the gifts.
