I feel like I have started this journey over about 1000 times. Being a single mom and staying consistent is very difficult 😫😫. I always start off strong and then I get discouraged when I don’t see progress fast enough🤦🏾‍♀️🥴🥴

I’ve experienced firsthand how difficult it is to maintain consistency when life gets hectic and progress seems slow. One key realization I had is that progress isn't always measurable on a daily or weekly basis, and that’s okay. Instead of focusing solely on the scale, I try to celebrate smaller wins such as choosing healthier meals, staying active, or even sticking to a routine despite fatigue. Another helpful approach has been finding a support network, whether it’s online communities, friends, or family members who encourage me and hold me accountable. Sharing my challenges and successes makes the journey less lonely and more manageable. I’ve also learned that being flexible with my goals and kinder to myself helps to reduce discouragement when setbacks happen. Remember, being a single mom means you’re already juggling a lot; weight loss will be just one part of your overall self-care. Consistency doesn’t mean perfection—it's about showing up for yourself regularly, even when it feels tough. Ultimately, this mindset shift has made me ready to keep moving toward my goal weight, embracing the journey with patience and persistence.
