Makeup trends that NEED to disappear in 2026
These are my top 3 makeup trends that have got to go in 2026!!! These aren’t personally flattering on me. Starting off strong with no lip liner or nude lip liner. I’m in my dark lip liner era for sureeee. 2026 just calls for a deep lip. Next up FLUFFY BROWS!! Any kind of soap brow is not my vibe. Def can go without them. Lastly, super bright under eye concealer. I unfortunately used to do this all the time. I now opt for a color much closer to my skin tone. I think it helps with a more natural look. From my personal experience, moving away from some popular makeup fads has made a huge difference in how natural and confident I feel. For years, I was stuck using nude lip liners or skipping them entirely, but switching to a bold, dark lip liner really defines the lips and adds a touch of sophistication that feels perfect for 2026’s vibe. Fluffy, soap-brow styles were trendy for a while, but I found they often felt a bit overdone and didn’t really suit my facial features. Instead, opting for a more natural brow shape with minimal product helps frame the face gently without looking too heavy or artificial. Regarding concealer, I used to brighten my under eyes as much as possible, using shades much lighter than my natural skin tone. While it did brighten, it sometimes looked stark and unnatural, especially in different lighting. Now, I match my concealer closer to my skin color for a more subtle, fresh effect that still conceals dark circles without creating an obvious contrast. This approach has made my overall makeup look more cohesive and wearable every day. The key is to adapt trends to what makes you feel confident rather than following every new craze. Emphasizing natural beauty with well-defined lips, balanced brows, and subtle concealer can be an excellent direction for anyone wanting to refresh their look in 2026.
