最近、車のサブスクリプションや残価設定クレジット（残クレ）に関する話題が増えてきました。私自身も最初は「本当にお得なの？」と疑いの目を持ちつつ、ディーラーの話を聞いてみて、やっと少し理解が進んだところです。 まず残価設定クレジットとは、購入時に車の5年後の価値（残存価値）をあらかじめ設定し、その残価を除いた金額を月々支払う仕組みです。たとえば400万円の車で残価150万円に設定されていると、実際には250万円を分割して支払います。しかし、5年後の査定で車の実際の価値が残価より下回ると、追加費用が発生するリスクもあります。これは中古車市場や傷、走行距離によって左右されます。 私が参考にしたメモにもありましたが、月々の支払いを抑えたい場合は頭金が不可欠。頭金なしで低額の月額を狙うのは難しいのが現実です。また一括購入とは違い、維持費に加えて残クレの場合は契約終了時の追加費用の可能性を考える必要があり、結果的に医療費以上にお金がかかると感じる人も少なくありません。 一方で、最新の混みこみプランは税金、保険、メンテナンス費用がパッケージになっているためわかりやすく、初期費用ゼロで最新モデルに乗れるという利点もあります。ですが「ずっと乗り続けたい」人にとっては、所有感やコストの面で不満を感じることがあるでしょう。 私の周囲でも、これらのプランに対して慎重な意見が多く、「5年後にどうなるか分からない」という不安から踏み切れない人が多いです。しかしディーラー側は「未来のリピーター獲得の投資」として積極的に勧めているため、利用者自身が充分に理解して選ぶ必要があると思います。 これから車の買い方も、お金の考え方も変わっていくでしょう。高級車を頻繁に乗り換えられる方の年収や生活スタイルも気になるところですが、自分のライフスタイルに合ったプランをじっくり比較検討することが大切です。私の経験から言うと、安さだけに惑わされず、トータルコストと契約内容の詳細をしっかり調べることをおすすめします。
