⚖️ Relevant Laws (Thai Traffic Law in force at present)
1️⃣ reckless driving. Awesome.
The Land Traffic Act 1979 section 43 (4) prohibits driving regardless of the safety of others.
Like chasing cars, squeezing lanes, driving rear pendants, blushing faces.
💸 Penalty not exceeding 4,000 baht
🚗 may be suspended from a driver's license.
2️⃣ use threatening cars to threaten others on the road, into the net, drive to cause bodily or property harm.
💸 Penalty not exceeding 10,000 baht
📄 Rest / revoke driver's license
3️⃣ obstructing traffic / intending to obstruct others, such as driving off the front, not overtaking or forcing a stop.
💸 Penalty not exceeding 500 - 2,000 Baht (subject to circumstances)
4️⃣ If there is an accident in a car chase, it will enter the network, negligent harm to others.
⚠️ the sentence is heavier to a fine and imprisonment.
🔹 Section 390
To act recklessly, causing harm to others in body or mind.
Penalty of 💸 fine not exceeding 10,000 baht or ⛓️ imprisonment not exceeding 1 month or both
🔹 Section 291 (if a person dies) is reckless as grounds for death by others.
Penalty of ⛓️ imprisonment for up to 10 years 💸, fine not exceeding 200,000 baht or both
🚗 Traffic Ordinance Offences (Additional)
- Stay and revoke your driver's license.
- Was recorded as a dangerous driver.
- May be trained or reexamined.
💥 Civil liability (actual pay)
If the court points out that you are at fault, restitution must be made.

ภาพจากไวรัลรถตู้ทึบสีขาวไล่ประกบรถฟอร์ดสีดำบนถนนสะท้อนให้เห็นว่าการใช้รถข่มขู่หรือไล่ขับบนถนนสาธารณะไม่ใช่เรื่องเล็ก เพราะนอกจากสร้างความไม่ปลอดภัยแล้วยังผิดกฎหมายหลายข้อโดยตรง เช่น การขับรถโดยประมาทน่าหวาดเสียวที่มีโทษปรับสูงสุด 4,000 บาทและอาจโดนพักใบขับขี่ หรือการใช้รถข่มขู่ซึ่งมีโทษปรับสูงสุดถึง 10,000 บาทและอาจถูกเพิกถอนใบขับขี่ตามมา ทำให้การขับรถบนท้องถนนต้องตระหนักถึงความปลอดภัยและการเคารพสิทธิของผู้อื่น นอกจากนี้ การกีดขวางจราจรอย่างจงใจ เช่น การขับปิดหน้า หรือกีดกันไม่ให้แซง มีโทษปรับ 500 - 2,000 บาท ซึ่งแม้โทษจะไม่หนักเท่าไหร่แต่หากสะสมพฤติกรรมแบบนี้ก็มีผลต่อการบันทึกเป็นประวัติผู้ขับขี่อันตรายและอาจถูกสั่งอบรมเพิ่มเติมได้ ถ้าเกิดอุบัติเหตุจากพฤติกรรมไล่ขับ อาจมีความผิดฐานประมาทจนเป็นเหตุให้ได้รับอันตราย หรือเสียชีวิต ทั้งนี้กฎหมายมีโทษสูงถึงจำคุก นอกจากนี้ผู้ขับขี่ยังต้องรับผิดชอบค่าเสียหายตามแพ่งอีกด้วย จากเหตุการณ์นี้ เราจะเห็นได้ว่าการใช้รถยนต์ต้องรับผิดชอบทั้งต่อกฎหมายและต่อความปลอดภัยของตนเองและผู้อื่นบนท้องถนน การขับรถแบบใจร้อนหรือข่มขู่ไม่เพียงแต่เสี่ยงต่อโทษทางกฎหมายแต่ยังเพิ่มความเสี่ยงต่อความเสียหายและอุบัติเหตุที่อาจเกิดขึ้นได้จริง ดังนั้นควรขับขี่ด้วยความระมัดระวังและมีจิตสำนึกเพื่อสังคมจราจรที่ปลอดภัยและสงบสุข
