Grabb opened the "S.A.F.E. +" program, elevating the safety of car calling services through the app, targeting 100,000 public driver licenses by the end of the year.
Grabb Thailand is moving forward with the Ministry of Transportation Policy, launching the "S.A.F.E. +" or "Safe Plus" initiative to raise the safety standards of app calling services in Thailand and build confidence in both passengers, drivers and foreign tourists.
The project covers the main 4-dimensional safety measures, namely
✅ S: Standards Compliance
Encourage drivers to meet the requirements of the Department of Transportation, aiming to drive drivers on the platform to hold 100,000 public driver licenses by the end of the year, with criminal background checks and safety training before starting service.
✅ A: Assurance
In partnership with insurance companies, offer public insurance at accessible prices with accident insurance for both drivers and passengers, up to 100,000 baht for injuries and 200,000 baht for deaths.
✅ F: Features for Safety
Develop security technologies and features such as facial authentication systems, real-time travel status sharing, SOS buttons, notifications when a car goes off course, as well as prepare to activate Audio Protect, automated voice recording inside the car on a night out.
✅ E: Enhanced Protection
Experimental installation of a Karta DashCam inside the car for a group of sample drivers, especially drivers serving in the airport, with AI system, emergency assistance button and real-time transmission of images against the location to the Grabb Safety Department.
According to Grabb, it is currently able to maintain an accident or adverse event report-free service rate of 99.9% across the region, along with collaborating with government, partners and drivers to raise the standard of service through the app to be safer on all trips.

ในฐานะผู้ใช้บริการเรียกรถผ่านแอปฯ แกร็บหลายครั้ง ผมสังเกตเห็นว่าโครงการ S.A.F.E.+ ที่แกร็บประกาศใหม่ช่วยเพิ่มความมั่นใจได้มากจริงๆ ก่อนหน้านี้บางครั้งผมรู้สึกกังวลเรื่องความปลอดภัยเมื่อต้องเดินทางกลางคืนหรือในพื้นที่ที่ไม่คุ้นเคย แต่ด้วยฟีเจอร์ต่างๆ เช่น ระบบยืนยันตัวตนด้วยใบหน้า แชร์สถานะการเดินทางแบบเรียลไทม์ รวมถึงปุ่ม SOS และการแจ้งเตือนเมื่อรถออกนอกเส้นทาง ทำให้รู้สึกปลอดภัยและสบายใจขึ้นมาก ผมเชื่อว่าโครงการนี้จะช่วยให้ผู้โดยสารรู้สึกมั่นใจในการใช้บริการแกร็บมากขึ้น โดยเฉพาะการที่แกร็บตั้งเป้าให้คนขับทุกคนต้องมีใบขับขี่สาธารณะซึ่งผ่านการอบรมด้านความปลอดภัยและตรวจสอบประวัติอาชญากรรม ด้วยมาตรฐานนี้ทำให้ผู้ใช้บริการมั่นใจได้ว่าคนขับที่ให้บริการมีความน่าเชื่อถือและปลอดภัย นอกจากนี้ ความร่วมมือกับบริษัทประกันภัยเพื่อให้ความคุ้มครองทั้งคนขับและผู้โดยสารก็เป็นอีกหนึ่งจุดที่ผมประทับใจ เพราะนอกจากความปลอดภัยด้านเทคโนโลยีแล้ว ยังมีองค์ประกอบด้านประกันภัยรองรับหากเกิดเหตุฉุกเฉินจริง ในช่วงเวลาที่เทคโนโลยีและบริการเรียกรถผ่านแอปฯ เติบโตอย่างรวดเร็ว โครงการ S.A.F.E.+ ถือเป็นก้าวสำคัญที่แกร็บผลักดันให้วงการนี้ปลอดภัยและน่าใช้มากขึ้นจริงๆ ทั้งนี้ ผมอยากเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการสนับสนุนให้คนขับทุกคนได้รับใบขับขี่สาธารณะและเข้าร่วมอบรมเพิ่มความรู้เรื่องความปลอดภัย เพราะนั่นหมายถึงการเดินทางที่ปลอดภัยของทุกคนบนท้องถนน ท้ายที่สุดนี้ ผมคิดว่าแกร็บได้สร้างมาตรฐานใหม่ให้กับตลาดเรียกรถผ่านแอปฯ ไทย และเป็นตัวอย่างที่ดีในการร่วมมือกับภาครัฐและพันธมิตรเพื่อผลักดันความปลอดภัยที่แท้จริงสำหรับผู้ใช้บริการทุกกลุ่ม
