Thrift finds and baked goods

I love when I get to spend a day out of the house with my husband shopping at antique stores, thrift stores, and eating at a local bakery.

Today we were on a mission to find nursery decor.

First we stopped at Radina’s Bakery in Manhattan, KS where we bought some fresh ciabatta a lemon tart and some tea and coffee. We found the “T” & “Y” metal letters at an antique/garden store which were perfect for our son’s nursery since his name will be Tate Yoder. At our final stop the Vintage Market we bought the children’s book, and the handmade tea mixes. There are so many unique booths and items. My favorites were the Harry Potter inspired book nooks and the 1960s Barbie dream house.

At the Vintage Market, we stumbled upon various handmade goods, including artisanal tea mixes and charming decor inspired by beloved books and characters like Harry Potter. The experience of thrifting not only allows for personal expression and creativity when selecting items but also supports local artisans and small businesses. Gathering items like personalized nursery decor, such as the “T” & “Y” metal letters we found, adds a heartfelt touch to your child’s space. Furthermore, vintage children's books and toys serve as wonderful keepsakes that might stand the test of time, providing lasting memories for the family. Embracing the vintage and handmade ethos not only nurtures creativity but also connects us to the stories of each item, preserving vibrant histories from the past.
