It’s been 2 years and I’ve never really talked about my experience in depth because it was very traumatic. But this is the reason why we decided to make the permanent decision to remove my fallopian tubes! #emotional

... Read moreIt’s hard to believe it’s already been two years since I underwent the procedure to remove my fallopian tubes. For a long time, I struggled to even put words to the experience, let alone share it publicly. It truly was a traumatic journey, not just physically, but deeply emotionally and psychologically. The weight of making such a permanent decision, knowing that 'I can't have kids anymore,' was immense and something I grappled with for a long time before finally coming to terms with it. The trauma wasn’t just about the surgery itself, but the profound emotional landscape that led me to that point. It was a period filled with intense pain, challenging choices, and confronting my deepest fears and hopes for the future. Every consultation, every discussion about the permanence of it all, felt like another layer being peeled back, revealing raw emotions. There's a certain grief that comes with closing a chapter, even if it’s a necessary or even desired one. I remember feeling a complex mix of sadness for what might have been, alongside a burgeoning sense of relief for stopping a personal cycle of pain and uncertainty. It wasn't a straightforward path to peace. Deciding to permanently remove my fallopian tubes wasn't a choice made lightly. It involved countless hours of introspection, honest conversations with loved ones, and seeking extensive medical advice to understand all my options thoroughly. I had to confront deeply ingrained societal expectations about womanhood and motherhood, personal dreams I once held, and ultimately, prioritize my own long-term health and well-being above all else. This is why I felt compelled to share my story now – because I believe many others might be facing similar crossroads, feeling isolated or judged for their reproductive choices. 'This is why...' I chose this path, and it’s a valid path. In the two years since, life has slowly but powerfully transformed. The initial period of recovery was undoubtedly tough, both physically and emotionally. There were days filled with regret, confusion, and overwhelming tears. I questioned if I’d made the right choice, even when I knew deep down it was for the best. But with time, and a conscious effort towards self-compassion and healing, a profound sense of peace has started to settle in. Living with the reality that 'I can't have kids anymore' has shifted from a source of anguish to a point of clarity and acceptance. It has allowed me to redefine what fulfillment means to me, focusing on other aspects of my life that bring immense joy and purpose, like my relationships, my passions, and my personal growth. If you're navigating a similar path, please know that your feelings are incredibly valid. This journey is deeply personal, and finding your own version of peace, however long it takes, is the most important step you can take. Seek support, talk to trusted friends or professionals, and allow yourself to feel every emotion. You are not alone in this.

This one’s been on the vision board for a while. And honestly, not because we’re car people. Nice cars have never been something that have held a lot of value to us. But having something safer for the girls to ride in and more space for our family + just having a truck in general for my random D

I’ll never forget the day my daughter ran in the house and told me that my son was hit by a car. It’s like time immediately began to move in slow motion. It never occurred to me that the last thing he’d say to me is mommy can “so &so” watch me outside. I said yes not knowing it’d be the last ti
