Kid by Kid, Year by Year ❤️✏️

We started our parenting journey with four kids in private school. We thought that was the plan. The path. The “right” thing.

But slowly, gently, year by year, kid by kid… we started to realize that maybe the plan wasn’t one-size-fits-all.⁣

And what I’ve come to understand is this: it’s to see them. Truly see them.

Each child grows in their own season, in their own way. What worked one year may not work the next. What worked for one might not serve the other.

It’s humbling. It’s stretching. It’s beautiful.

There’s no straight path. No perfect formula. Just prayer, surrender, and a willingness to pivot when your heart knows it’s time.⁣

This isn’t the story I thought we’d write. But it’s so much richer than I imagined.

Kid by kid. Year by year. We keep learning. We keep listening. And we keep choosing what’s best for them. For the unique, wonderful individuals they’re becoming.

... Read moreParenting is not a one-size-fits-all journey; each child's needs, learning styles, and growth milestones are distinct. Parents often face the challenge of choosing the right education path for each of their children. Some may thrive in private schools, while others might flourish in a homeschooling environment or alternative schooling options. As parents, it is essential to embrace these differences. Understanding that different children may require different educational approaches can lead to a more nurturing experience. This adaptive method not only recognizes individual needs but also fosters an environment where children feel understood and valued. By paying close attention to each child's personal growth journey over the years, parents can better select programs or schools that cater to their learning styles and emotional well-being. In recent discussions on parenting, themes such as flexibility, mindfulness, and open communication have gained traction, emphasizing the importance of remaining attuned to children's evolving needs. Resources like parenting blogs, support groups, and social media communities can provide valuable insights. Engaging with these resources allows parents to share experiences and seek advice on different education strategies tailored specifically to their children's unique educational journeys. Ultimately, the journey of parenting is filled with lessons, and each child’s development reflects a new chapter filled with learning opportunities. By prioritizing the individuality of each child, parents can cultivate a deeper connection and support their children in becoming the best version of themselves.

Your kid doesn’t need privacy. They need parenting
They call it “gentle parenting” now. But what I see… is moms scared to upset their kids. Afraid to say no. Afraid to check the phone. Afraid to be the bad guy. I check the tablet. I open the apps. I watch the videos. I watch the games. I will check his future phone. I will check the DMs.
