It’s A SIMPLE ANSWER…. NO. Although MOST OF us have HAD A DIFFICULT time doing SO. We WANT TO be liked. We WANT TO be accepted. That ONLY MATTERS if you can BE YOURSELF. Don’t LET ANYONE steal YOUR LIGHT 🔆🔅💛

Standing up for yourself is a powerful act of self-love and respect. Many people feel pressure to conform, to seek acceptance at the expense of their true selves. However, it’s essential to understand that expressing your feelings is a vital aspect of maintaining healthy relationships. If you find yourself in situations where your emotions and boundaries are disregarded, it may be time to reassess those connections. A healthy relationship thrives on mutual respect, where each person's needs and feelings are acknowledged and valued. When you say no or express discomfort, it shouldn't be viewed as a sign of weakness or insensitivity; rather, it's an expression of your worth and an affirmation of your boundaries. Remember, real connections are built on honesty and understanding, not sacrifice of self. By prioritizing your own well-being, you create space for genuine relationships based on authenticity. This encourages others to honor their own feelings and needs, too. Ultimately, prioritizing your individuality is not just beneficial for you—it sets a precedent for those around you.

I was told years ago that I have trouble saying no. I coddle the underdog and want to save the lost or fix the broken. They recommended AL-ANON; Used for families if alcoholics. They will help me to learn how to say NO. I do better than I used to, but I sometimes wonder if I should have taken their advice. It would have probably saved me alot of heartache.
