Baby stuff people hate on that I’d get again!

What are some baby products you recommend that you find seem to be unpopular?? Mine:

✨ changing table- if we are upstairs we will take him into his room just to use this. No bending over, all the supplies are on the shelves and in a basket we have hanging off the side. 8 months in we’re still using it. Gonna be sad when it’s gone.

✨ bottle washer- we have the baby brezza which washes, sterilizes and dries and it’s pretty great. It was a hand me down from our sister-in-law, so I can’t say for certain if I’d spend the money. But it has been super convenient to have! Good for bottles, pump parts, pacifiers, etc. Very easy to use and takes little prep.

✨car camera- it’s wild to me that anyone thinks this isn’t worth it. It’s like $15 more than a mirror? Way better view, no worry of blinding our baby, and the night vision alone is worth it.

✨ diaper pail- also a hand me down, but if it ever breaks I’m definitely getting another one. Maybe the diaper genie is what people talk about when they say it sucks… because our Dekor has been pretty great. It seals out odor really well (we never smell any lingering odors) and the bags are really sturdy and have never ripped or anything.

✨ bottle brush- definitely get the sponge kind, not the silicone. The silicone/rubber ones are streaky and leave residue. The sponge ones work great! No residue at all and the bottles get fully clean. I like Munchkin and Dr Brown, and both have nipple cleaner tips at the bottom.

✨ baby laundry detergent- maybe it’s not necessary to get a special detergent for baby but honestly we just switched the entire household to this. Our clothes are clean, they smell good, and he has not had any breakouts or irritation from it.

... Read moreAs a parent, I've found that some baby products tend to get overlooked or receive mixed reviews, but my experience has shown they deserve more appreciation. One product that truly made a difference for us is the changing table. Beyond the obvious convenience of having a dedicated space for diaper changes, it spared my back from constant bending and kept all diapering supplies within arm's reach, organized in baskets and shelves. This simple setup not only improved diaper changes but also contributed to a calmer, more efficient routine, especially when time is tight. The Baby Brezza bottle washer was another game changer in our household. Although it was a hand-me-down, I quickly realized its ability to wash, sterilize, and dry bottles and pump parts without the hassle of running the dishwasher multiple times a day was a time saver. For parents with busy schedules or multiple feedings, reducing prep time while ensuring thorough cleaning is a blessing. Investing in a car camera with night vision has been invaluable for our peace of mind. Unlike car mirrors, it gives a clear 1080p HD view of the baby without risk of blinding them and enhances nighttime visibility, which is crucial for safe driving. The affordability compared to other alternatives makes it a smart buy. Regarding odor control, the Dekor diaper pail stands apart from what many associate with diaper disposal systems. Its excellent sealing capabilities and sturdy bags mean no unpleasant smells linger in the nursery, and maintenance is hassle-free. I’ve never had to deal with ripped bags or leaks, which speaks volumes about its quality. When it comes to cleaning bottles, picking a sponge-based bottle brush instead of silicone ones made a huge difference. The sponge brushes truly clean without leaving residue or streaks, and the built-in nipple cleaner tips are a thoughtful design that helped maintain hygiene. Lastly, switching our entire family's laundry to a baby-specific detergent, which is free of preservatives and dyes and tough on baby stains, has been surprisingly effective. Our baby's skin has remained irritation-free, and everyone’s clothes smell fresh and clean, demonstrating that sensitive formulas can suit the whole household. If you're hesitant about these products due to mixed opinions, I encourage giving them a try. What seemed unpopular or unnecessary in the parenting community turned out to be practical lifesavers in our daily routine.
