👍Why I like it: This is a fantasy book with an immersive, complicated world that we get the unique experience of discovering through a series of murder investigations!

👍Why I like it: A cyclical, surprising, bittersweet but hopeful scifi story of survival and queer love!
Just Stab Me Now
👍Why I like it: The most fun you can have with a book about a book! Sensible main character versus her desperate-to-write-romance-tropes author dealing with her own love life.
Make the Season Bright
👍Why I like it: Childhood best friends to fiances to exes, forced to keep their history secret while shoved into the same family holiday gathering. Super Christmas-y, and plenty of fun singles events!
The Borrow a Boyfriend Club
👍Why I like it: Trans-led wholesome romance and a fun friend group/school club to boot. The characters are likeable and memorable.
The Kaiju Preservation Society
👍Why I like it: Domestic scifi with a parallel dimension of giant creatures. Cozy yet a big concept!
I Shall Never Fall in Love
👍Why I like it: Jane Austen's "Emma" with a trans love interest, plus sized main, and an additional conversation about race. Sweet, funny, and beautifully drawn!
Icarus
👍Why I like it: An achillean contemporary romance inspired by the myth of Icarus! Heists, forbidden love, and lots of yearning.
Long Live Evil
👍Why I like it: An isekai where a dying former mean girl cheerleader becomes the villain of a fantasy series and has scheme to keep her and her temporary allies alive.
