Title: Lessons in Chemistry

Author: Bonnie Garmus

About: Elizabeth Zott is a chemist in the 1960’s working at a lab that doesn’t appreciate or welcome her, but she’s brilliant and everyone knows it. This book is about her navigating chemistry (both kinds), a new dog, sexism, motherhood, and being the host of a tv cooking show.

>What I love: this book is so funny, honestly it’s the wittiest book I’ve read in a few years. It also

Made me feel empowered as a STEM girly

>What I don’t love: even though this book is amazing I’m having trouble getting through it. I think it’s because I’m burnt out from taking Ochem and Biochem, but even though this is an easy read I can only do 10 pages at a time

>Who is this book for: I think this book is for every girl, but will particularly resonate with those in male dominated field, and especially especially resonate with chemistry girlies. There are a couple of “secret” jokes that if you haven’t taken chemistry classes you might just read past because chem is a whole different language

The first image is a title slide for an article titled "5 things THE STOCK Market taught me over 5 years," featuring the social media handle @hergreenprint and a subtle background of green and white stock market candlesticks.
The second image presents the first lesson: "PATIENCE." It advises waiting for a swing trade setup instead of forcing an entry, emphasizing that what's meant for you won't rush you, against a candlestick chart background.
The third image highlights the second lesson: "LOSING." It states that cutting losses early is self-respect and that trading off "hopium" turns small losses into losing full premiums, set against a candlestick chart.
