Yeah because nothing says “thriving mom” like two toddlers, hormones on 1000, my husband breathing irritating, and me inhaling a cheeseburger in the front seat like it’s my full-time job. 😂
Being a mom, especially with two toddlers, is an intense adventure filled with highs and lows. From my experience, there's a special kind of chaos when you combine toddler tantrums with a body running on full hormonal overdrive. Add to that the infamous 'hangry' feeling that hits harder when it's your period, and suddenly your personality shifts like you're someone else entirely—one who just wants to survive the day with a cheeseburger in hand. I've found that acknowledging this unique blend of emotions, and giving yourself permission to have imperfect moments, is crucial. It’s okay to feel overwhelmed and to take shortcuts like eating on the go or asking for help when your patience wears thin. Communication with your partner becomes especially important during these times. Sometimes, just letting your spouse know that your irritability isn’t about them but about your body and mind can ease household tensions. Little gestures like sharing snacks or a few moments of quiet can make a huge difference. Also, embracing humor helps tremendously. Laughing at the insanity of trying to keep two toddlers entertained while hormones rage and hunger screams within can turn a stressful day into a memorable story. Remember, every mom has been there, and every moment, no matter how challenging, is part of the beautiful journey of motherhood.
