the perfect weekend hiking getaway from sg <$400

tired of bukit timah hill? you’re not alone.

was recently feeling like i wasn’t making the most out of singapore’s proximity to our neighbouring countries and decided to weekend-maxx a little by embarking on a short hiking trip up Mount Bromo andIjen. 🌋🥾

took a late afternoon flight to Surabaya on a friday and started our 2d1n tour from there.

our tour was booked through klook and the whole experience and service was fantastic! lots of long drives and decently manageable hikes. would rate the difficulty of the hikes as a whole at about 4/10, and the views you get truly outweigh the struggle to get there. 🏞️

after our climbs, we reached surabaya by around 6pm, just in time to catch a sunday evening flight back to singapore! 🛫🇸🇬
