Thrilling near the White House, U.S., after several gunshots, officials hastened to shut down the security area while President Donald Trump was inside the White House during the crash.
On May 23, 69, Ajazeera reported that U.S. law enforcement, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation, or FBI, were investigating a shooting near the White House area of Washington, D.C., after dozens of reports of gunshots were heard on Saturday night local time (Sunday morning Thai time).
The director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI Director), Cash Patel, posted a message on social media saying that the officer was responding to the shooting and would update the information publicly when it could be revealed.
Reports indicate that Donald Trump was inside the White House at the time of the incident, with police blocking the surrounding area, and troops from the National Guard took control of the area in downtown Washington, DC to prevent reporters and outsiders from approaching the scene.
More than 30 gunshots were heard from the North Lawn area of the White House, according to reporters. The surrounding area is now surrounded by numerous emergency vehicles and security agencies.
The reporter on the White House lawn during the incident revealed that the official ordered everyone to take refuge inside the press room immediately.
The U.S. Presidential Guard reported a shooting near 17th, 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, just one block from the White House, and is investigating the facts with field officials.
This happened nearly a month after U.S. officials identified an assassination attempt on President Trump during an annual White House Correspondents' Association banquet on April 25 at a hotel in Washington, D.C.
