As a 34 yo mama, I try to find the line between comfortable outfits and appropriate attire for work.
For reference I work in an office setting 5 days a week. It’s a residential setting as well so that means we work where people live. There’s 150 apartments so the days are busy and not much time is spent sitting at a desk. We are allowed to wear jeans, but I try to only do that once a week or find fun ways dress them up a bit.
I’m working on learning to love the items in my closet instead of standing there every morning claiming I have nothing to wear as I stare at a closet full of a hundred things. It’s helping me find ways to style one item differently to make for more outfits…and helping me decrease the online shopping!!🛍️

I also learned the value of organizing my closet thoughtfully. Grouping similar items together and planning outfits in advance saves morning stress and eliminates the feeling of having 'nothing to wear.' It's surprisingly rewarding to rediscover pieces I forgot I had! Taking photos of outfits you love helps maintain inspiration and variety too. Lastly, don’t sweat the small stuff like a messy mirror. Real life happens alongside work and family, and embracing those imperfect moments adds authenticity to my style journey. This mindset helps me focus more on feeling good in what I wear each day rather than achieving perfection. Overall, developing a work-appropriate wardrobe that suits a busy lifestyle is empowering and definitely achievable with a bit of creativity and intentionality.
