📚 New books just dropped in my TBR! 👀 Yes…I went shopping again, but my husband and I have a rule: if he can’t tell which ones are new, he can’t ask about them. 😇

A few of these have already been bumped up to this week’s TBR (I couldn’t resist!), but I want to know—have you read any of these? Which one was your favorite?

... Read moreOkay, fellow bookworms, let's be real: the thrill of a new book haul is unmatched, right? My latest adventure into the bookstore resulted in this gorgeous new TBR stack, and I'm already buzzing to dive in! But how do I actually choose what to read next from my ever-growing collection, especially when I have gems like 'Wicked Beauty' and some amazing Tessa Bailey novels staring at me from my bookshelf? Finding new books that truly resonate with you can be a journey in itself. I usually start by scrolling through BookTok and Bookstagram for trending titles and honest reviews. These communities are fantastic for discovering hidden gems and seeing what everyone else is raving about. Goodreads is another go-to for checking ratings and reading friends' updates. Sometimes, I just browse my local indie bookstore and let a cover or a blurb catch my eye – that's how I often stumble upon books like 'Terror at the Gate' or 'Bury Our Bones Midnight Soil' that I might not have heard of otherwise. It’s all about finding recommendations that align with my current mood, whether it's a spicy romance or a gripping thriller! Once I've got my haul, the real challenge begins: curating my weekly TBR. First, I try to factor in different genres to keep things fresh. If I just finished a heavy fantasy, I might reach for a lighthearted romance by Tessa Bailey next. Then, I consider the hype! If a book like 'Wicked Beauty' has been on my radar for ages, it often gets bumped to the top. I also love to participate in reading challenges, which helps me pick books I might not usually gravitate towards. And honestly, sometimes it just comes down to which cover is calling to me most that day! Managing a massive TBR stack can feel overwhelming, but here are a few tips I've learned: Don't be afraid to DNF (Did Not Finish) a book if it's not working for you. Life's too short to read books you're not enjoying! Secondly, I love to organize my physical TBR into themes or by genre on my bookshelf, sometimes even adding little decorative touches like a favorite candle or a quirky skull-shaped container to my reading nook. This makes it feel less like a chore and more like a curated treasure trove. Lastly, I try to set realistic reading goals for myself each week. It's not about how many books you read, but how much you enjoy the ones you do. Happy reading, everyone, and tell me: what's currently at the top of your TBR?
