y’all i can’t lie, i was very relunctant to try this because of the price tag, but MAN! this is one of those times i looooove to be proven wrong and pleasantly surprised.
the only reason why i didn’t give it a 7-7.5 is because of the price and the size; not sure if it was small (12oz they say) or if i just liked it too much and drank it too fast, but it was over too quickly 💔
taste wise: the matcha itself seemed unsweetend but the FLAVOUR of the matcha!!! light umami, less of the nori note and more of something absolutely full and delicious. can’t place it but it rocks. the honey cream wuth cookie? crumbs? ate
it’s quite hard to find tasty matcha in the downtown area, let alone one that isn’t overpriced. would i spend another $10.90 on this? probably not regularly. but it sure was a wonderful experience, and i don’t regret it hehe
there’s a retail cafe interior situation if you’d like to sit, but i didn’t go cause i was rushing off. but vibes! i like.
final verdict: fantastic to try, but better in a pinch when you desperately need a matcha hit in town

What stood out in this matcha latte was its smooth, understated sweetness paired with a complex umami flavor that felt richer than usual. The honey cream topping with cookie crumbs added a delightful texture contrast, making each sip uniquely enjoyable.
Although the portion felt a bit small—I wondered if it was the standard 12oz or if I simply enjoyed it too much—it was enough to give a proper matcha fix during a busy day in town. The cozy cafe interior at KLARRA makes it a nice spot to relax if you have time, but I visited quickly and still appreciated the vibe. I’d recommend this drink to anyone craving quality matcha in a convenient location.
For those budgeting thoughtfully, it might not become a regular treat, but as a special indulgence or when you need a downtown matcha boost, it's definitely worth experiencing. KLARRA manages to stand out in the crowded Raffles City cafe scene with its well-crafted signature drinks. If you’re curious about trying matcha lattes at KLARRA, expect a balance of tradition and a subtle twist that keeps you coming back for more.
