As a clean girl my easy & healthy fruit smoothies
I’ve been trying to clean my diet recently, so I started to try make my own smoothies at home. I’m surprised how good they turned out! Here are some recipes I used.
1. Green Glow Smoothie (p2,3)
Ingredients
• Kale
(wash throughly)
• 1/4 Cucumber
• 1 Kiwi
• Coconut water
(fill until cover all food)
Steps
1. Add all ingredients into a blender.
2. Blend for 40 seconds until smooth.
3. Pour and enjoy
Tips: It‘s important to fill the cup with coconut water until it covers all solid. I usually only put 1/4 of the cucumber and slice them well to make sure it get beaten and blended well.

2. Spinach Banana Nut Smoothie (p3,4)
This smoothie has a higher fat content than the first one and is more suitable as a meal alternative. I added almonds as a source of fat, and since I don't like my hair loss , I added a spoonful of black sesame powder. I got my black sesame powder from Asian grocery store.
Ingredients
• Spinach (pre-washed)
• ½ banana
• A few almonds
• Black sesame powder
• Milk (low fat)
Steps
1. Add everything into the blender.
2. Blend for 40 seconds.
Tips: if you don't like the earthy taste of spinach, you can add less, about 10 pieces. But to be honest, you won't be able to taste it with the presence of banana and almond.

3. Cucumber Apple Yogurt Smoothie (p6,7)
Ingredients
• Cucumber
• Apple (I recommend gala apples, juicer)
• Milk (low fat)
• Yogurt (no-sugar added)
Steps
1. Put all ingredients into the blender.
2. Blend for 1 minute until silky smooth.
(apple is harder to beat)

4. Blueberry Spinach Smoothie (p8,9)
Ingredients
• Spinach (pre-washed)
• Blueberries
• Apple
• Milk (low fat)
Steps
1. Add all ingredients into the blender.
2. Blend for 1 minute.
The third and fourth ones need to be stirred for longer than the first two because apples are more difficult to blend compared to other fruit. If they are beaten for less than one minute, there might be residue left, and it will taste worse and may weaken the intake of nutrients.
