Moving to a new place is always a mix of excitement and stress, and for me, unpacking is a slow, sentimental process. The only things I've taken out so far are my beloved Xaden and Violet plushies, which have been comforting companions through so many transitions. Their presence brings a sense of home even when everything around feels unsettled. Among the unpacked items, my collection of Jellycat stuffed animals stands out. They’re not just toys but small tokens of comfort and nostalgia that make any new space instantly cozier. Each one tells a story—from quiet evenings reading while clutching a soft friend, to being a silent witness to changes and growth. Music also plays an essential part in this transition. Listening to Noah Kahan’s evocative songs has helped ground me during long unpacking sessions. His lyrics about longing and change resonate with the feelings of starting fresh in a new environment. Additionally, my current read, Fourth Wing, adds to the atmosphere of new chapters unfolding. It’s fascinating how books, music, and cherished items collectively create a supportive bubble, easing the emotional toll of moving. Sharing these moments in a photo dump has been my way of preserving the fragments of comfort amid chaos. It’s a reminder that even if the majority of things remain in boxes, the little unpacked treasures give me stability and joy.
