Taiwan Day 7 🏙️🍜🐷

After a long ride up from Chiayi, we finally made it to Taipei! First stop? The cutest Sanrio-themed 7-11 ever 🐰🐱🐻 — from the entrance all the way to the toilets, every corner was pure kawaii overload 💖

Then straight into the night vibes at Ximending Night Market 🏮🍢 — kicked things off with a hearty beef noodle soup 🍜, signature Xiao Long Bao 🥟, grilled squid + sausage 🦑🌭, and of course, the famous Ah Chung Mee Sua 🍲✨ (vinegar + chili = gamechanger!).

Ended the night with the BEST stinky tofu I’ve had so far in Taiwan 🤤🔥 — crispy outside, saucy, spicy, full of flavour in every bite. The perfect way to close out our first night in Taipei 🏙️💥

Stay tuned — the city adventures are just getting started! 🌟

... Read moreExploring Taipei’s Sanrio-themed 7-11 was such a delightful surprise — every detail, from the kawaii decor to the themed merchandise, really makes it a must-visit spot for fans of cute culture. It’s not just a convenience store; it’s a unique experience that adds charm to your Taipei adventure. When it comes to Ximending Night Market, it’s an absolute feast for the senses. I recommend taking your time to try not only the popular dishes like beef noodle soup and Xiao Long Bao but also the lesser-known delights like grilled squid and Ah Chung Mee Sua, which offers a perfect balance of spicy and sour flavors. The stinky tofu here is a highlight—not for everyone, but if you’re adventurous with food, it’s a truly rewarding bite with its crispy exterior and rich, spicy sauce. For anyone planning their own visit, I’d suggest going hungry and ready to explore both food and kawaii culture. It’s also great to know that Ximending is more than just food; it’s a lively area full of nightlife, shops, and entertainment that really captures Taipei’s youthful energy. Don’t miss wandering around after your meal to soak in the neon lights and street performances. Overall, combining the sweet charm of the Sanrio 7-11 with the sensory overload of Ximending’s night market offers an authentic slice of Taipei life, perfect for memorable travel stories and sharing with fellow travelers on your next Taiwan trip!
