When lands fight back

Hey everyone! 👋 You know how much I love sharing my wild MTG Commander builds, and today we're diving deep into one of my most infamous: the 'Land Creature War Crimes' deck! If you've ever wondered what are land creatures MTG and how to make them utterly terrifying, you're in the right place. This deck focuses on transforming your seemingly innocent lands you control into a formidable, often indestructible army. The core idea is to catch your opponents off guard when their mana base suddenly starts attacking! It’s not just about making a few forest dryad tokens; it's about turning every single land you own into a threat. My commander for this chaos is none other than Jyoti, Moag Ancient. This card is an absolute powerhouse for any land creature MTG strategy. Jyoti doesn't just create land creatures; it makes them bigger and better as you play more lands. It's the perfect engine to get your land army going and keep it growing throughout the game. So, how do we get these land creatures on the battlefield? We need some key enablers. One of my favorites, and a classic for this kind of strategy, is Living Plane. This enchant world turns all lands into 1/1 creatures. Combine that with Yavimaya, Cradle of Growth, which makes all lands Forests, and suddenly your Ambush Commander can turn them into 2/2 Elf creatures! Imagine turning every single land, even your opponent's, into an attacking threat. Pure mayhem! But just making creatures isn't enough; we want them strong and resilient. That's where cards like Blossoming Tortoise come in. This turtle friend not only helps buff your land creatures but also lets you return lands from your graveyard, ensuring you always have resources. And for ultimate protection, the Eldrazi Monument is a must-have. Giving all your creatures +1/+1, flying, and indestructible means your land army becomes incredibly hard to deal with. They'll just keep coming, hitting hard, and shrugging off board wipes – truly a 'war crime' level of resilience! What if your lands do get destroyed? No problem! Crucible of Worlds lets you play lands from your graveyard, ensuring your engine never stops. And for those truly epic plays, Orvar, the All-Form can duplicate your permanents. Imagine duplicating a land that's already a creature, or even duplicating a land-enabling enchantment! The possibilities for creating even more land creatures are endless. Another fantastic card is Ashaya, Soul of the Wild. While it usually turns your nontoken creatures into Forest lands, it also makes your other nontoken creatures count as lands for effects. This can lead to some really interesting interactions, especially if you're trying to ramp or trigger land-based abilities with your creatures. It adds another layer of complexity and power to the deck. Playing this deck is an absolute blast. There’s nothing quite like seeing your opponents realize that their mana base is now actively trying to kill them. It's a unique take on MTG land creatures, moving beyond simple token generation to turning your entire board into a living, breathing threat. While some might call these strategies 'war crimes,' I call it maximizing value and having a ridiculously fun time.
