Come to Therapy with Me
Come to therapy with me.
Today we talked about letting go of what I can’t control and focusing on what I can.
The people who leave.
The things that didn’t work out.
The version of me that no longer serves me.
Healing isn’t a destination. It’s a series of small choices we make every day.
Today’s choice was slowing down, getting outside, and allowing myself a moment of peace.
What is something you’re learning to let go of?

Therapy is a powerful tool for emotional growth and healing, but it’s important to remember that healing isn’t a one-time event—it’s an ongoing process. From my personal experience, the biggest breakthroughs often come when I learn to surrender control over things I cannot change, such as the people who leave or circumstances beyond my influence. This shift in mindset allows me to focus on the present moment and what I can actively improve. One meaningful insight shared in therapy recently was the idea that healing isn’t about forgetting the past but learning to remember without pain. This phrase really resonated with me because it reframes how we view past struggles—not as wounds that need erasing, but as memories that shape us while allowing us to move forward peacefully. It encouraged me to slow down, step outside into nature, and savor moments of calm that support mental wellness. Another key part of my healing journey has been cultivating an intentional lifestyle through small but consistent choices. This includes practicing mindfulness, setting healthy boundaries, and embracing a growth mindset. By focusing on what I can control—how I respond to challenges or nurture my emotional well-being—I’m able to continue evolving into a better version of myself. If you’re also learning to let go of something—whether it’s expectations, relationships, or parts of your identity that no longer serve you—know that you’re not alone. Therapy can provide a safe and supportive space for this work. Embracing the journey one step at a time helps create lasting change and deeper peace in life.
