step-by-step brow routine 💖
i survived the anastasia beverly hills dip brow pomade era and graduated to natural defined brows ✨ brows can be SO tricky—too blocky, too dark, too fluffy, not enough hold, the list goes on. here is my every day brow routine you can follow along with for the perfect, subtle brows that will last you ALL DAY LONG!
my step-by-step brow routine 💖
1. comb through brows with spoolie so that the hairs lay in your preferred direction
2. define the TAIL of your brows first with a brow pencil, this will be the “darkest” area of product. i use the benefit precisely my brow pencil in shade 3.5 💕
3. then, define the bottom curve of your eyebrow. follow the natural curve of the hairs and keep a light hand → again, most of the product should be focused towards the end to look more natural
4. lightly fill in the rest of your brows, use a spoolie to brush off excess product and distribute evenly
5. carve out/clean up your brows with a medium coverage concealer close to your natural skin tone. i use the alleyoop game face concealer 💕
6. use a strong hold eyebrow gel to seal in your brows. i’ve been using the patrick ta brow gel to brush through then flatten/laminate my lashes 💕
what are your favorite brow products? i’d love to try some of your favs!!

Okay, let's dive a little deeper into mastering that perfectly 'defined brow' for a natural look! While my step-by-step routine covers the basics, I often get questions about the true 'meaning of brow' definition and how to truly make it last all day. It’s not just about filling in; it’s about strategically enhancing your natural shape to frame your face beautifully. One thing I learned early on is the power of a light touch. When you're trying to 'define brows,' especially with a pencil, think of drawing tiny hair-like strokes rather than solid lines. This feathering technique is key to avoiding that 'blocky' look that often comes from pressing too hard. For instance, when defining the bottom curve, instead of one continuous swoop, use short, upward strokes. This helps distribute product more naturally and makes it easier to blend out any harshness. It's a game-changer for achieving a truly natural 'brow def.' Another common challenge for an 'easy brow tutorial' is choosing the right shade and product for your specific brows. If you have sparse areas, a fine-tipped pencil or brow pen can work wonders for creating individual hairs, giving you a more natural 'brow def.' If your brows are naturally fuller, sometimes just a tinted gel is enough to 'define' them and add a bit of color and hold. I’ve experimented a lot, and finding the right tool for your specific brow needs makes all the difference in achieving that desired definition. Don't be afraid to mix and match products – some days I use a pencil, other days a powder, depending on the look I want. And for those who struggle with their 'defined eyebrow' fading throughout the day, here’s a practical tip: after applying your products, gently tap a translucent setting powder over your brows before applying your brow gel. This extra 'define step' helps to absorb any excess oil and creates a barrier, locking in your hard work. It's especially useful if you have oily skin or live in a humid climate! Remember, the goal is to enhance, not overpower. With these extra insights, you’ll find your 'how to define brows' journey much smoother and more successful. Happy brow perfecting!
