Santa’s Little Dilemma

Santa’s list is growing long,

Who’s been right, and who’s been wrong?

Stockings hung or coal to burn,

Naughty or nice—what did you earn?

The nice ones bake, they give, they share,

Spread Christmas cheer, show love and care.

They help the lost, they light the way,

Their hearts aglow on Christmas Day.

But the naughty sneak, they tease, they play,

Stealing cookies, then run away.

Their mischief hides behind a grin,

But even they hope gifts roll in.

Santa laughs, his eyes so bright,

“None are perfect, but that’s alright.

Naughty or nice, you’re all my crew—

Here’s some joy, just for you!

This dichotomy fuels the festive spirit, highlighting actions that spread cheer, love, and kindness. From baking cookies to sharing moments of joy, the 'nice' ones create a warm, inviting atmosphere. Meanwhile, 'naughty' mischief often adds a playful element to celebrations, reminding us that laughter can be just as valuable. This poem captures these themes beautifully, encouraging readers to embrace the imperfections that make us human. Santa, with his bright eyes and joyful laughter, teaches us about acceptance and unity. Regardless of where we fall on the scale of naughty or nice, every individual contributes to the richness of the holiday experience, fostering connections and memories that last a lifetime. Recognizing this can elevate our celebrations, inspiring us to spread love, joy, and understanding in our own communities during this festive season.
