We’re back!
Here’s some info on why it started and the probable conclusion.
TikTok was briefly shut down in the U.S. after the Supreme Court backed a law banning it due to ties with China. But then, President Trump stepped in, promising an executive order to save the app! TikTok thanked him for helping keep the app alive for over 170 million users and 7 million small businesses.
The drama started because ByteDance (TikTok's parent company) had until Jan. 19 to sell off TikTok or face a full ban, but that plan fell apart in court. Now, with Trump’s intervention, TikTok’s back on, and we might even see a 50% U.S. ownership deal to keep it in the clear. So, TikTok's staying for now—big win for us and lemon8!
