CANCÚN MEXICO
While in Cancún shooting a wedding I had a day or two to myself. The resort was surrounded by dense woodland jungle so a lot of the native fauna had made their homes right alongside all the visitors and staff. From the restaurants to the pools a menagerie of animals went about their days.
For capturing animals in general here’s a couple things to keep in mind:
1. Try to keep as still as possible as not to disturb their normal movements/behaviors.
2. Keep a respectful distance and shoot with a zoom
3. Understand that these animals while cute are still wild and should not be fed or handled
4. Don’t take your eye out of the view finder, and keep shooting. I always fall victim to looking down and missing a great interaction or composition, so just keep shooting!
