thinking about cutting your hair?

just wanna cut my hair, lose myself, make you sweat 🎶

2024/1/4 Edited to

... Read moreHey everyone! You might have seen my "BEFORE" picture, contemplating a big change, and then the "AFTER" with my fresh, shorter, wavy blonde hair. Honestly, for ages, I was just thinking about cutting my hair, humming along to that song, "just wanna cut my hair, lose myself..." and then I finally decided to DO IT. It was more than just a haircut; it felt like a total refresh, a way to shed old layers and embrace something new. If you're like me, constantly searching for "thin hair hairstyles" or wondering if a shorter cut can fix "flat hair," let me tell you, it absolutely can. My longer hair sometimes felt heavy and lifeless, especially at the ends. My stylist and I chatted about how a shorter style could add so much more volume and bounce. For those of you in your 40s or 50s, a chic, well-executed shorter cut can be incredibly rejuvenating and stylish. It’s not about age; it’s about finding a style that makes you feel amazing. I’ve seen incredible transformations for "hairstyle for 40s women" and "55 year old woman" that prove a modern, shorter look can be incredibly flattering and easy to manage. When I was in the salon, sitting under the "salon cape" with "hair foils" in, I was a mix of nervous excitement. I’d looked at so much inspiration – everything from a classic bob to those edgy "long pixie cut black women" styles, and even some bold "Keke Palmer haircut" looks, which are just iconic! While my "wavy blonde hair" might not be a pixie, the idea was to find a cut that suited my texture and face shape, giving it new life. Don't be afraid to bring in pictures of what you love, but also trust your stylist to adapt it to *you*. That’s the magic! Now, let's talk about the big fear: "I don't like my haircut" or "hair cut too short what to do." Trust me, the thought crossed my mind! What if this beautiful vision in my head didn't translate? If you ever find yourself in that spot, remember it's not the end of the world. First, give it a few days. Sometimes it takes a moment to adjust to a new look and learn how to style it. My new "shorter" style took a little getting used to, but now I can whip it into shape with minimal effort. Experiment with different products and styling tools. A bit of texturizing spray can give "flat hair" amazing lift, and even a simple headband can transform a look you're not loving. If it truly feels "too short," remember hair grows! In the meantime, accessories are your best friend, and a good stylist can often make small adjustments to help it feel more 'you'. Don't be afraid to take a "mirror selfie" during the process to see how it looks from all angles and get comfortable with your new reflection. Ultimately, my journey to this "shorter, wavy blonde hair" has been incredibly empowering. It’s about listening to that little voice (or big one!) that says, "It's time for a change." And if you're on the fence, maybe this is your sign to "DO IT." You might just find your new favorite look!

MY NATURAL HAIR GROWTH
So i cut my hair off my sophomore year of high school (2016) and she left a lot of the split ends to “save some length”. That was definitely a mistake. If you want healthy hair just cut all those dead ends OFF. My hair continued to grow but you could definitely still see the damaged hair that came
