... Read moreAs someone who values creativity deeply, I’ve encountered people telling me to just let AI create the artwork instead. While AI can mimic styles and generate impressive visuals, it lacks the essence of human experience and emotion that makes art genuinely meaningful. AI art is often generated through algorithms analyzing existing works, but it doesn't involve the personal struggles, cultural context, or intention an artist pours into a piece. Many artists, including myself, find it infuriating when their craft is dismissed as something AI can simply replace. Art isn’t just about the final image—it’s about the process, the story behind it, the imperfections, and the human touch. AI doesn’t feel or suffer; it doesn’t grow through its mistakes or take inspiration from life events. This personal journey defines real art. That said, AI tools can be useful aids in the creative process if used thoughtfully. They can inspire new ideas or help with repetitive tasks, but they should not replace an artist’s role. True art is deeply connected to human emotion and intention, which AI cannot authentically replicate. Recognizing this helps us appreciate the unique value of human-made art in a world increasingly influenced by technology.

Art Isn’t Magic
Being a good artist isn’t magic! Every artist I’ve looked up to have had the same things in common: drive and the discipline to remain consistent. Sure..some people seem to be born with a baseline of talent, but raw talent only gets you so far. 😤 I guess this morning I wanted to reflect on how
